Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 0.61%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , Machinery and Computers & Peripherals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted lost 0.61%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Creative Sensor Inc (TW:8249) added 10.00% or 6.10 points to end at 67.10 and Infortrend Technology Inc (TW:2495) was up 10.00% or 3.55 points to 39.05 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd (TW:6451), which fell 9.96% or 25.50 points to trade at 230.50 at the close. Champion Building Materials Co Ltd (TW:1806) declined 9.96% or 1.15 points to end at 10.40 and Ta Liang Technology Co Ltd (TW:3167) was down 9.91% or 16.00 points to 145.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-years highs; up 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in Creative Sensor Inc (TW:8249) rose to all time highs; gaining 10.00% or 6.10 to 67.10. Shares in Infortrend Technology Inc (TW:2495) rose to 5-year highs; rising 10.00% or 3.55 to 39.05.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.27% or 0.19 to $70.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.28% or 0.21 to hit $74.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 7.80 to trade at $2,741.10 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.04% to 32.07, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.14% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 103.93.
