Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 0.45%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.45%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 2.06% or 3.50 points to trade at 171.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) added 1.79% or 2.00 points to end at 113.80 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.61% or 3.30 points to 208.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which fell 1.31% or 6.20 points to trade at 465.80 at the close. Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) declined 1.20% or 11.80 points to end at 975.00 and SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) was down 0.92% or 2.20 points to 236.60.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 437 to 311 and 90 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.20% or 0.14 to $68.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.24% or 0.17 to hit $72.47 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.91 to trade at $2,665.71 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.06% to 11.53, while USD/SEK rose 0.17% to 10.93.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 106.15.
