Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 0.95%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.95%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH), which rose 8.94% or 6,400.00 points to trade at 78,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) added 2.78% or 400.00 points to end at 14,800.00 and Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC:DVI_p) was up 1.69% or 300.00 points to 18,100.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Mineros SA (BVC:MAS), which fell 3.37% or 150.00 points to trade at 4,300.00 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) declined 3.16% or 55.00 points to end at 1,685.00 and Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:BBO) was down 2.76% or 740.00 points to 26,080.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.78% or 400.00 to 14,800.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was down 2.68% or 8.93 to $323.72 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 6.26% or 786.00 to hit $11,779.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.60% or 42.45 to trade at $2,610.85 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.16% to 4,380.00, while BRL/COP rose 2.46% to 711.78.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 108.14.
