Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 0.45%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.45%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p), which rose 8.89% or 790.00 points to trade at 9,680.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Promigas (BVC:PMG) added 5.73% or 430.00 points to end at 7,930.00 and Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) was up 4.22% or 170.00 points to 4,200.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO), which fell 3.03% or 55.00 points to trade at 1,760.00 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC:DVI_p) declined 2.68% or 520.00 points to end at 18,880.00 and Bancolombia Pf (BVC:BIC_p1) was down 2.17% or 800.00 points to 36,000.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 8.89% or 790.00 to 9,680.00. Shares in Promigas (BVC:PMG) rose to 3-years highs; rising 5.73% or 430.00 to 7,930.00. Shares in Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 4.22% or 170.00 to 4,200.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was up 5.51% or 17.03 to $325.88 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.02% or 94.00 to hit $9,142.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 14.14 to trade at $2,660.44 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.42% to 4,384.50, while BRL/COP fell 2.57% to 738.36.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.87% at 106.04.
