Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 0.33%

Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financial Services & Real Estate and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.33%.

The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG), which rose 2.59% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.89 at the close. Meanwhile, Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI) added 2.55% or 1.65 points to end at 66.25 and Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) was up 2.15% or 0.71 points to 33.76 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:ITX), which fell 1.92% or 1.00 points to trade at 51.00 at the close. Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) declined 1.57% or 0.18 points to end at 10.95 and Acerinox (BME:ACX) was down 0.91% or 0.09 points to 9.30.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 97 to 73 and 26 ended unchanged.

Shares in International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) rose to 3-years highs; up 2.59% or 0.07 to 2.89.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.75% or 74.20 to $2,620.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.00% or 2.11 to hit $68.27 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.68% or 1.98 to trade at $71.89 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 105.43.
