Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 2.67%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Information Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.67% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR), which rose 9.35% or 4.32 points to trade at 50.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) added 7.19% or 1.70 points to end at 25.34 and Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK) was up 6.52% or 2.76 points to 45.08 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER), which fell 7.05% or 8.80 points to trade at 116.10 at the close. Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) declined 2.57% or 1.45 points to end at 55.00 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was down 1.73% or 1.25 points to 70.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 464 to 103 and 13 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% or 5.90 to $2,699.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.93% or 2.12 to hit $70.24 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.59% or 1.96 to trade at $73.67 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.47% to 34.38, while EUR/TRY fell 0.07% to 36.95.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 104.63.
