Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 1.21%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , Semiconductor and Electronics sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 1.21%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Alltek Technology Corp (TW:3209) added 9.97% or 3.85 points to end at 42.45 and Anderson Industrial Corp (TW:1528) was up 9.97% or 1.50 points to 16.55 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Sino Horizon Holdings Ltd (TW:2923) declined 6.69% or 2.15 points to end at 30.00 and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW:1225) was down 6.38% or 6.60 points to 96.90.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-years highs; up 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in Anderson Industrial Corp (TW:1528) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.97% or 1.50 to 16.55.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.21% or 0.15 to $70.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.18% or 0.13 to hit $74.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 5.70 to trade at $2,697.00 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.03% to 32.18, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.05% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.00% at 103.39.
