Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 0.32%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , Glass and Biotech & Medical Care sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.32%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Ares International Corp (TW:2471), which rose 9.96% or 5.20 points to trade at 57.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortune Information Systems Corp (TW:2468) added 9.94% or 2.35 points to end at 26.00 and Coxon Precise Industrial Co Ltd (TW:3607) was up 9.92% or 1.90 points to 21.05 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which fell 9.92% or 3.20 points to trade at 29.05 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Logah Technology Corp (TW:3593) was down 8.64% or 0.76 points to 8.04.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.63% or 0.42 to $67.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.56% or 0.40 to hit $71.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 2.29 to trade at $2,661.89 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.24% to 32.49, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.13% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 105.85.
