Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 0.35%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.35% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC), which rose 2.34% or 880.00 points to trade at 38,500.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:CFV) added 1.71% or 260.00 points to end at 15,460.00 and Bancolombia Pf (BVC:BIC_p1) was up 1.37% or 480.00 points to 35,600.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH), which fell 1.90% or 1,520.00 points to trade at 78,480.00 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC) declined 1.32% or 130.00 points to end at 9,750.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) was down 1.19% or 20.00 points to 1,660.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 1 to 0.

Shares in Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.34% or 880.00 to 38,500.00. Shares in Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.19% or 20.00 to 1,660.00.

US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.33% or 0.82 to $249.33 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 4.25% or 308.00 to hit $6,943.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.92% or 80.35 to trade at $2,669.35 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.08% to 4,412.75, while BRL/COP rose 1.06% to 776.92.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.66% at 105.04.
