Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF:), which rose 4.87% or 0.11 points to trade at 2.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Minerva SA/Brazil (BVMF:) added 1.60% or 0.09 points to end at 5.73 and JBS SA (BVMF:) was up 1.13% or 0.43 points to 38.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Braskem SA (BVMF:), which fell 11.03% or 1.59 points to trade at 12.82 at the close. Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:) declined 5.12% or 0.31 points to end at 5.75 and Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:) was down 5.08% or 0.30 points to 5.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 538 to 401 and 58 ended unchanged.
Shares in Braskem SA (BVMF:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 11.03% or 1.59 to 12.82. Shares in Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:) fell to all time lows; falling 5.12% or 0.31 to 5.75.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.55% or 41.94 to $2,667.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.50% or 1.05 to hit $71.07 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract fell 0.98% or 3.14 to trade at $318.11 .
USD/BRL was up 0.85% to 6.04, while EUR/BRL rose 1.15% to 6.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 106.64.
